On April 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. EDT the Allen Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission will conduct interviews of the applicants for the Allen Superior Court.  The interviews will take place in Room # 30, Council Committee Room, Citizens Square Building, 200 E. Berry St., Fort Wayne, IN 46802.

A vacancy on the Allen Superior Court will occur on April 26, 2013, when Judge Stephen Sims retires.  Under state law, the Judicial Nominating Commission is required to nominate three candidates for appointment to the Allen Superior Court when a vacancy arises.  The final appointment will be made by Governor Mike Pence. 

The Commission considers that all applicants meet the qualifications of Indiana Code § 33-33-2-10 and are therefore eligible to be interviewed.  The interviews are open to the public.  

The Griebel Law Office LLC joins the American Bar Association Center for Pro Bono in noting the January 11, 2013, passing of attorney William Reece Smith Jr., who served as ABA president from 1980 to 1981. Mr. Smith was particularly dedicated to pro bono services and diversity, his vision leading to what is now the ABA Center for Pro Bono. The National Association of Pro Bono Professionals bestowed upon him the first “William Reece Smith Jr. Special Services to Pro Bono Award” created in his name, which award attorney Griebel received in 2009, hence how the Griebel Law Office LLC learned about and became appreciative of Mr. Smith's commitment to legal services.
