iu fan(atic)It seems many college students remain loyal to their alma mater, even if they go to different schools for graduate work.
That is true with me, for as much as I am grateful for the exceptional opportunity to attend the University of Michigan Law
School (ranked 3rd in the 11/2/87 U.S. News & World Report, when I was a law student), my heart was and remains with IU
- Bloomington. The memories of the students, professors, and years there on campus are a highlight for so many reasons.
An Indiana jewel, the university's limestone buildings grace beautifully maintained grounds, and adjacent to a vibrant Indiana
community and nearby Brown County State Park, just living there was a privilege. IU has many exceptional academic and
career paths as well. I'd be remiss if I did not say, having gone there from 82-86 (true IU fans know the era), IU basketball
is indelibly imprinted in me as well. Recently, a YouTube video released those feelings when it was fun to watch and
boast; perhaps not a human's best quality but certainly for me one that added color to life.
