Free Legal Consultations on January 17There will be free legal consultations at the Allen County (Fort Wayne) Public
Library - downtown - on Monday, January 17, 2011 (Martin Luther King Jr. holiday). Attorneys answer general questions
and offer legal information. The free 10-15 minute consultations to the public are for those who might not otherwise be able
to afford the counsel of an attorney. While this service is not a substitute for retaining an attorney for legal representation,
attorneys often can answer most people's questions. The free
legal consultations likely with be in English. Non-English speaking folks need either to bring with them an
interpreter, translator, or both. (Further, if there are contested court matters, the interpreter/translator will
need to be certified (by the court)). The state bar association
of lawyers along with the local branch of the state pro bono commision and the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Northeast Indiana
sponors this. See http://vlpnei.org/ for more details
